The Concrete Institute of Australia’s Biennial National Conference, Concrete 2017 was held at the Adelaide Convention Centre, from 22nd October, 25th October, 2017.
Concrete 2017 will be the 28th Biennial National Conference of the Concrete Institute of Australia and will be held in the beautiful city of Adelaide, South Australia.
The 13th Global Slag Conference and Exhibition will take place in Prague, the Czech Republic from 24 - 25 April 2018.

The World of Iron & Steel Slag 'network' (WoISS) aims to advance the international management and use of metallurgical slags in ways that are technically sound, economically beneficial and in an environmentally responsible manner.

On Monday the 23rd of January, Harsco Corporation announced the signing of two multi-year contracts for steel mill services in China and Brazil, which are valued at more than $100 million.
As the industry is very much aware, slag is a highly resourceful product. Hendrik G van Oss, a mineral commodity specialist for the U.S. minerals information center, agrees with this, rewarding iron and steel slag with the title of “Mineral Resource of the month” earlier this year while stating that iron and steel slags are co-products of iron and steelmaking, not waste products.
