Australian Steel Mill Services (ASMS) are supplying high quality recovered resources to assist in the development of the Nowra Bridge project in NSW.

ASMS are providing RBM800 and RBM801, which is a blend of graded air-cooled blast furnace slag and granulated blast furnace slag in nominally 80/20 volumetric proportions modified with a slag cement/lime binder.

Advantages of using this product include ease of compaction, long term strength gain, lower tonnages required per cubic metre, along with using an industrial by-product to conserve natural resources.

These materials have a positive track record, being utilised as the predominant road base resources in the Princess Highway upgrades between the Shoalhaven and Illawarra regions, along with assisting in key projects in the Sydney Metro Road & Airport network.

The Nowra Bridge project will provide a new four lane bridge over the Shoalhaven River, upgraded intersections and additional lanes on the Princes Highway.

The $342 million project is expected to be complete by mid-2024.
